Stop the spread and define the drying scope

Water mitigation is the immediate work of controlling water, removing accessible water and protecting affected building materials when that work is within the accepted scope. Structural drying is the monitored process that follows, using air movement, dehumidification and moisture checks to determine when affected materials are ready for the next decision.

The page must not promise a universal drying time. Material type, water source, temperature, humidity, assemblies and access all change the plan.

Keep mitigation separate from reconstruction

Drying evidence and the repair estimate answer different questions. FBR can coordinate the building-repair and reconstruction side after the affected areas are ready, including drywall, flooring, trim, paint, cabinets or other approved finishes.

Where specialized testing, remediation or another regulated service is required, that responsibility should be identified separately rather than implied by a general construction page.

What customers should document

Share the property city, affected rooms, when the water was first noticed, any visible source information and work already performed. Photos can help the first conversation, but they are not a substitute for an on-site moisture or damage assessment when one is required.
